So far only two of my friends have said they are coming to our wedding. And while there are cases of perfectly reasonable reasons why some can't attend it's clear that some friends - well now former friends - are treating my bride to be and myself with a complete lack of respect.

I'm hurt, surprised and disgusted to be honest. Given the events of a year ago you'd think my friends would be jumping at the opportunity to celebrate this wonderful happiness I've found in my life after such dark times.

I already knew there was no point having a proper stag-do, but I'm still shocked at some of the people who've declined to come to the wedding. I can't help but feel it marks the end of those friendships.

It's maddening that I am not able to share this wonderful happy day with the people I care about, having now discovered those feelings aren't reciprocated.

This makes me want to invite some of those of you who regularly enjoy - well put up with - my ramblings here along to celebrate our day. I'm completely serious.

So if you're wondering why you didn't get an invite before, it was down to numbers, but seeing as so many of my guests can't be arsed sharing in our day why don't you drop me a line and tell me how much you'd love to be there.
