Entertaining story over at The Times today about a Thorntons employee who bemoaned his fate on a blog and caused mayhem in a northern town.

Poor Steve Beall was transferred from Newcastle to Barrow-in-Furness and complained about this move on his website, calling Barrow a shithole.

This caused the people of Barrow to rise up and besiege the new Thorntons cafe and store and the police had to got involved. In fact the local 'tards smashing the shop windows pretty much proved Steve Beall's point.

As you'd expect, the chocolate company has apologised and given away plenty of free choccies to appease the sort of local loon that gets riled about this kind of thing. This is even though the local inbreds had already stole over £1000 of stock when they smashed the windows.

Shame the company wasn't braver and actually agreed with Mr Beall's rather mild criticism. Anyone unfortunate enough to visit Barrow will know that it really is quite the most horrid town in Britain.
